Pecan Pie
3 eggs 2/3 cup sugar dash of salt 1 cup light corn syrup 1/3 cup butter or margarine 1 cup pecans
Beat eggs throughly with sugar, salt, corn syrup and melted buyyer or margarine, add pecans. Pour into 9-inch pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees about 50minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
Pie Crust
1 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup shortening 4 to 5 tablespoons cold water
Sift flour and salt together, cut in half of the shortening until mixture looks like cornmeal Cut in remaining half until mixture looks like small peas. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water over part of mixture. Toss with fork and push to side of bowl. Repeat until all is moistened then form a ball. Flatten on sheet of wax paper. Top with another sheet and roll until 1/8-inch thick. Peel waxed paper off one side and fit into pie plate. Peel other side of waxed paper and fill with pecan mixture.
